The Staff Selection Commission has officially released the SSC MTS Syllabus 2026 for the SSC Multitasking Staff and Havaldar Exam. Candidates appearing for this exam can refer to the list of subjects and topics to be covered for Paper 1 which is common for both MTS and Havaldar post.

Age Limit

Age limit: See official notification. Age relaxation is available as per Government of India / State Government rules — OBC (NCL) +3 years, SC/ST +5 years, PwBD +10 years, Ex-Servicemen as per applicable rules.

Selection Process

  1. Online Written Examination / CBT: Objective MCQ test covering relevant subjects, general awareness, reasoning and aptitude.
  2. Skill Test / Interview: Wherever applicable for shortlisted candidates.
  3. Document Verification: Original certificate verification at the final stage.
  4. Medical Examination: For posts that require medical fitness.

Salary / Vetan

Selected candidates will be paid as per the official pay scale. As per 7th Pay Commission / pay matrix plus DA, HRA, TA and other admissible allowances. Government job benefits include PF, gratuity, NPS pension, medical facility, LTC and job security.
