Age limit and eligibility

The advertised upper age limit for the direct recruitment posts is 45 years. Check the Commission's instructions for applicable relaxations and the date used to assess eligibility. Do not apply this limit automatically to deputation posts.

  • Tutor: a recognised Master's degree in Nursing. The notice permits B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with three years' experience, including one year teaching in a nursing school or college, if a candidate with a Master's degree in Nursing is unavailable.
  • Biochemist: M.Sc. with Biochemistry as the principal subject from a recognised university.
  • Associate Professor, Nursing: the specified relevant Master's degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent, plus the prescribed teaching experience. The main requirement is ten years in a recognised nursing college after the Master's degree; the notice also gives an alternative involving five years in a nursing college and ten years' aggregate teaching experience.
  • Assistant Professor, medical specialities: recognised medical and relevant postgraduate qualifications, with speciality-specific teaching or research experience. For the three super-specialities, the PDF specifies an experience exemption for a three-year D.M. / M.Ch. qualification. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has a separate three-year teaching-experience requirement.
  • Technical Examiner posts: deputation is for eligible Central, State or Union Territory government officers. The notice specifies analogous-post or pay-level/service requirements and Civil / Construction Engineering qualifications. Check the exact route for the selected post.

Knowledge of Konkani is an essential requirement for the direct recruitment posts; Marathi is desirable. The notification describes limited circumstances for relaxing Konkani for specified Group A posts. Candidates should not assume a general exemption.

Application fee and selection

The advertisement explains online payment and SBI-in-Goa e-challan payment, but does not state category-wise fee amounts. Check the amount displayed in the official application instructions. Complete the required payment within the relevant deadline and retain the receipt; the notice says late fee payments lead to rejection.

Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview. GPSC may shortlist applicants under its published instructions. This advertisement does not announce a common written-exam or interview date for all posts.

How to apply

Frequently asked questions

Is 23 November the last date for Tutor applications?

No. Tutor is a direct recruitment post and its application deadline is 23 October 2026. The November deadline applies only to transfer-on-deputation posts.

Can every B.Sc. Nursing graduate apply for Tutor?

Do not treat the degree alone as sufficient. The notification's fallback route includes an experience requirement and is conditional on the unavailability of a Master's-qualified candidate.
