Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has published the official recruitment notification (Advt No- 524/RC/SSB/Combined Advt./CTs/2025) for the post of Constable (Tradesman) in various trades. Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for SSB Constable Tradesman 2026:
- Passed 10th (Matriculation/High School) examination from a recognized Board.
- Must meet at least one of the following trade-specific requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant trade experience
- Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License (for Driver post)
- First Aid Certificate with 1 year experience (for Nursing Orderly)
- 2 years total experience in the respective trade
- 1-year ITI Certificate in relevant trade with 1 year experience
- 2-year ITI Diploma in relevant trade
Selection Process
The selection of candidates for SSB Constable Tradesman 2026 will be done through the following stages:
- Written Examination – Objective type questions on General Knowledge, Mathematics, Hindi/English
- Trade/Skill Test – Practical test to evaluate the candidate's expertise in the applied trade
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST) – Running, long jump, high jump and height/chest measurements
- Medical Examination – Detailed medical checkup as per SSB standards
- Document Verification – Verification of all original certificates and documents
Pay Scale / Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) as per 7th Central Pay Commission. In addition, SSB personnel receive Dearness Allowance, HRA, Transport Allowance, Ration Money, Risk & Hardship Allowance, and other benefits as applicable.
