Recruitment Details
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a specific exam for candidates with professional knowledge in HR, IT, Law, Agriculture, Marketing & Rajbhasha, and this exam is called the IBPS SO (Specialist Officer) exam.
For FY 2026-27, IBPS has already announced the IBPS SO 2026 Exam Dates for its upcoming recruitment cycle, with the notification expected to be released in June 2026 along with vacancies.
The Specialist Officer (CRP SPL) exam is conducted to fill specialised roles in Public Sector Banks of India. Every year, 11 PSBs participate in this process to hire fresh talent and provide career opportunities to many aspirants. This year, it’s going to be the 16th edition of the SO Exam.

Age Limit
Age limit: 20 to 30 years. Age relaxation is available as per Government of India / State Government rules — OBC (NCL) +3 years, SC/ST +5 years, PwBD +10 years, Ex-Servicemen as per applicable rules.
Selection Process
