PET Qualification (Mandatory / Anivary)
- Candidates must have a valid UPSSSC PET 2025 Score Card with positive normalized score
- PET 2025 qualifying hona first eligibility hai — without this, candidate cannot apply
- Main Examination ke liye shortlisting PET 2025 score ke aadhar par hogi
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th Class / 10+2) from a recognized Board of Education

UPSSSC Havaldar Instructor 2026 - Selection Process
- Stage 1 - PET 2025 Score-Based Shortlisting: Only candidates with valid UPSSSC PET 2025 score cards will be eligible. Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done based on PET 2025 normalized scores.
- Stage 2 - Main Written Examination (CBT / OMR): Objective type Main Exam covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Hindi, UP-specific GK, and subject-related topics. Duration: 2 hours.
- Stage 3 - Physical Standard Test (Shaareerik Maap Parikshan): Height, Chest and other physical standards check for qualifying candidates.
- Stage 4 - Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running / physical activities as specified in notification.
- Stage 5 - Document Verification: Original document verification for final shortlisted candidates.

UPSSSC Havaldar Instructor - Salary / Vetan
Selected candidates will be paid as per Uttar Pradesh 7th Pay Commission — Pay Level 4. Basic pay approximately Rs. 25,500/- per month, with DA, HRA, TA, Medical Allowance and other government benefits. Total in-hand monthly salary around Rs. 35,000 - 42,000. Additional perks include pension (NPS), PF, LTC, medical facility for family, and annual increments.
About UP Home Guards Department
The Uttar Pradesh Home Guards is a voluntary auxiliary force assisting the UP Police in maintaining law and order, especially during emergencies, public events and disaster management. Havaldar Instructors are responsible for training and supervising Home Guard volunteers.
