The South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) — a Schedule "A" Miniratna Coal India Subsidiary — has officially released the Grade C Recruitment 2026 notification on 8 April 2026. SECL Grade C 2026 - Eligibility / Yogyata
Educational Qualification (Post-wise)
- Mining Sirdar: Matric (10th) + Sirdar Certificate of Competency from DGMS OR Diploma in Mining Engineering / Degree in Mining Engineering with valid Sirdar Certificate. Valid Gas Testing Certificate & First Aid Certificate required.
- Deputy Surveyor (Mining): Matric (10th) + Surveyor Certificate of Competency from DGMS OR Diploma in Mining Survey / Degree in Mining Engineering with Surveyor Certificate.
- Assistant Foreman (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized board / institute + valid Electrical Supervisor Certificate of Competency from CEA / appropriate authority.

SECL Grade C 2026 - Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Single-stage objective MCQ examination only. No interview. Sections: General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi, and Discipline-specific (Mining/Electrical). Total 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes.
- Document Verification: Original certificate verification including Sirdar/Surveyor/Supervisor Competency Certificates.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME): Medical fitness as per CIL/SECL standards.
- Final Selection: Based on CBT marks (merit list) + Document Verification + Medical clearance.
SECL Grade C - Salary / Vetan
Selected candidates will be paid as per Coal India Limited (CIL) National Coal Wage Agreement-XI (NCWA-XI). Approximate basic pay Rs. 31,852/- per month for T&S Grade C, plus DA, HRA, CCA, Underground Allowance (for mining posts), Medical, LTC, PF, Gratuity, Pension. Total in-hand monthly salary approximately Rs. 50,000 - 65,000. SECL also provides quarters/HRA, free medical, education allowance for children, and CIL Officers Welfare benefits.
