RBI Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2026 - Overview
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially released the notification for Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2026 on 16 April 2026. A total of 11 vacancies are being filled for the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) - 7 posts and Junior Engineer (Electrical) - 4 posts across RBI offices. RBI JE 2026 - Eligibility / Yogyata (As on 01 April 2026)
Educational Qualification
- JE (Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized University/Institute.
- JE (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronic Engineering with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Work Experience Required
- For Diploma holders: Minimum 2 years post-qualification work experience in relevant field of construction / electrical installation / maintenance.
- For Degree holders: Minimum 1 year post-qualification work experience in relevant field.

RBI JE 2026 - Selection Process
- Online Written Examination: Objective + Descriptive paper with sections in Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Technical Paper (Civil / Electrical as per discipline applied).
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates shortlisted from Online Written Exam will have LPT in the official/regional language of the state of allotment (qualifying in nature).
- Document Verification: Final selection based on merit in Online Exam + LPT clearance + verification of original documents.
RBI JE 2026 - Salary / Vetan
Selected Junior Engineers will be paid at Pay Scale Rs. 47,700 - 1,51,510 with starting basic pay of Rs. 47,700/- per month. Along with DA, HRA, CCA, Transport Allowance, Grade Allowance and Medical Benefits, the approximate gross monthly salary is around Rs. 91,309/-. Additional RBI perks include LFC, PF, gratuity, medical reimbursement, and attractive leave benefits.
