Recruitment Details
Through the RBI Assistant Result 2026 for Prelims exam, a total of 8171 candidates have been shortlisted for next stage of recruitment i.e., Mains Exam. The Prelims Result has been uploaded in PDF format, containing the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates.
The roll numbers are mentioned state-wise in the Merit List, so candidates can directly jump to the state they applied from and check their roll number through Ctrl F key and their exam roll number. Download the PDF below.
The Prelims exam was held on 11th, 13th and 30th April 2026 in multiple shifts, and candidates have been eagerly waiting for the result announcement. The result has been declared by RBI on its official website at www.rbi.org and no login is required to check the results.
Now, after the Prelims, the Mains exam has been scheduled for 7th June 2026 , so candidates are advised to check their qualifying status and start preparing accordingly, as only few days are left.

Age Limit
Age limit: See official notification. Age relaxation is available as per Government of India / State Government rules — OBC (NCL) +3 years, SC/ST +5 years, PwBD +10 years, Ex-Servicemen as per applicable rules.
Selection Process
- Online Written Examination / CBT: Objective MCQ test covering relevant subjects, general awareness, reasoning and aptitude.
- Skill Test / Interview: Wherever applicable for shortlisted candidates.
- Document Verification: Original certificate verification at the final stage.
- Medical Examination: For posts that require medical fitness.
Salary / Vetan
Selected candidates will be paid as per the official pay scale. Rs. 29,000/- per month plus DA, HRA, TA and other admissible allowances. Government job benefits include PF, gratuity, NPS pension, medical facility, LTC and job security.
