NPCIL ET 2026 - Eligibility / Yogyata
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. (Engineering) OR 5-year Integrated M.Tech degree with minimum 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 notified engineering disciplines.
- Degree must be from a University / Institution recognized by AICTE / UGC.
- Final year / final semester students can also apply but must produce the degree certificate before the specified date.
GATE Score (Mandatory)
- Candidates must hold a valid GATE 2024 OR GATE 2025 OR GATE 2026 score in the same discipline as the qualifying degree.
- GATE score must be valid on the date of application.
- Shortlisting for Personal Interview will be based on GATE marks / AIR rank.

NPCIL ET 2026 - Selection Process
- GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on GATE 2024 / 2025 / 2026 normalized scores. Cutoffs will be discipline-wise.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview at NPCIL centers (Mumbai or other notified locations). Interview weightage: 100 marks.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME): Selected candidates must pass PEME as per NPCIL standards.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on weighted combination of GATE score + Interview marks.

Selected Executive Trainees will undergo 1-year intensive training at the NPCIL Training Centre. After successful completion, they will be absorbed as Scientific Officer Grade C (SO/C) at NPCIL nuclear power plants across India.
