Recruitment Details
Good news for banking aspirants! The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has increased the number of Probationary Officer (PO) vacancies from 6,715 to 7,365. 650 New vacancies have been added from Indian Bank, which was not included in the notification earlier. The IBPS PO 2026 Recruitment (CRP PO/MT-XVI) aims to hire eligible candidates for Probationary Officers (PO)/Management Trainees (MT) for the FY 2027–28.
The recruitment will be conducted for 11 participating Public Sector Banks (PSBs) under the Government of India, offering candidates an opportunity to secure a prestigious government banking job with an attractive salary and career growth. The last date to apply online for IBPS PO 2026 is 21st July 2026. Candidates are advised to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
The revised vacancy list has been released on 20 July 2026, with updates from participating public sector banks. The Exam Date has been officially announced by IBPS. The Prelims Exam will be conducted on 22nd and 23rd August 2026 , while the Mains Exam is scheduled for 4th October 2026.

Age Limit
Age limit: 20 to 30 years. Age relaxation is available as per Government of India / State Government rules — OBC (NCL) +3 years, SC/ST +5 years, PwBD +10 years, Ex-Servicemen as per applicable rules.
Selection Process
