CRPF Tradesman 2026 - Eligibility / Yogyata
Educational Qualification
- General Tradesman posts: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized Board.
- Technical Constable (Electrician, Welder, etc.): 10th pass + ITI Certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT / SCVT recognized institute.
- Pioneer (Mason, Carpenter, Plumber): 10th pass + relevant trade certificate / experience.
- For some trades (like Cook, Tailor, Barber), 10th pass without ITI is acceptable. Check trade-wise eligibility in the notification.

CRPF Tradesman 2026 - Selection Process
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running (1600m for Male, 800m for Female), Long Jump, High Jump. Qualifying in nature.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest (Male), Weight measurement as per CRPF norms.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective MCQ — General Awareness & Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English/Hindi (Qualifying), Technical/Trade knowledge. 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes.
- Trade/Skill Test: Practical test in applied trade (e.g., actual cooking for Cook, sewing for Tailor, etc.). Qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification (DV): Original certificate verification.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Medical fitness as per CRPF standards.
- Review Medical Examination (RME): For candidates rejected in DME on certain grounds.

CRPF Tradesman - Salary / Vetan
Selected Constable (Tradesman) will be paid as per 7th Pay Commission — Pay Level 3 (Rs. 21,700 - 69,100). Starting basic pay Rs. 21,700/- plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Ration, Uniform Allowance, Risk & Hardship Allowance, Medical Benefits for self and family. Approximate in-hand monthly salary Rs. 28,000 - 35,000. Additional benefits: Free rations, free uniform, free medical care, LTC, Pension (NPS), Gratuity, Group Insurance, Canteen facility.
